Kaleja
Andalucian Spanish
The name is Sephardic for "alley," which fits: Kaleja sits in Málaga's old Jewish quarter, a few steps from the Picasso Museum, and the first thing you notice on the way in is the smell of smoke. Chef Dani Carnero holds a Michelin star for his coal-fired, slow-cooked tasting menu, built around Andalucian recipes he treats as things worth rescuing. A limited à la carte option exists, though a minimum order applies either way.
