    Murano chandeliers, herringbone floors, and a direct sightline to the Parthenon from Syntagma Square: this 102-room luxury hotel has been one of Athens's more fashionable addresses since it opened. The cream-and-gold rooms have a boutique feel, the walls hang with works by Greek painters, and the neoclassical bones are intact without feeling frozen in time. Voukourestiou Street, the city's main shopping strip, is a short walk away.
