This Michelin-starred Japanese omakase restaurant in Nara takes the idea of a personalized dinner to its logical extreme: the chef builds the menu around each guest's preferences, weaves in playful nods to Western cooking, and keeps a roster of bar snacks for anyone who came to drink rather than dine. "Koikiryori" translates loosely as chic cuisine, which the room takes seriously without taking itself too seriously.
