Hundreds of sculpted stone faces stare down from the 1609 façade of this small hotel in Colmar's old town, which explains the name and makes for an arresting first impression. Inside, the rooms are modern and minimal, quietly luxurious, some roomy enough for a family. Two restaurants sit downstairs, one a brasserie, one a Michelin-starred dining room. The Michelin Guide awarded the hotel itself one Key.
