    Eight rooms, each with its own designed personality, in a boutique hotel tucked into central Caen. La Discrète pairs a leopard-print headboard with Asian-legend wallpaper, which tells you everything about the decorating philosophy here. Some rooms open onto private terraces, the bathrooms run Clarins, and the in-house bar pours signature cocktails alongside a selection of rare bottles for anyone who needs a reason to stay in.
