The mazamorra here predates salmorejo, or so Córdoba will tell you, and this family-run taberna is the place to take that claim seriously. It started as a grocery store in Almodóvar del Río and kept the soul of it, with tidy classic decor and regional cooking that doesn't wander far from local tradition. The Michelin Guide awarded it a Bib Gourmand, which tracks for a room where the croquettes are the opening argument.
