Land & Monkeys is a vegan bakery-cafe with the gilded lettering and storefront of a proper Parisian boulangerie, minus the butter. The croissant comes out burnished and crackly, with a pretzel-like savor, which is a neat trick for something that never met a dairy cow. The quiche is eggless and the sandwiches are hamless, and most locations have tables, so you can sit down and eat it all without hurry.
