The cracked tile floor and bright chairs haven't changed much since Eisenhower was in office, which is exactly the point. This old-school luncheonette a short walk from Place Vendôme fills fast with office workers, boutique staff, and visitors all eating the same sepia-toned classics: onion soup, duck confit, tarte Tatin. Good French food in central Paris at prices that don't require a sit-down with your accountant is rarer than it sounds.
