Liberty started as a butcher shop and sandwich counter, and the meat is still broken down in the basement, from a ranch down in Minden, before it meets the wood-fired oven upstairs. It's a casual downtown Reno restaurant a few steps from the Riverwalk, where black-and-white photos of 1980s celebrities watch over the dining room. Mark Estee runs it, and he's about as close as Reno gets to a local celebrity chef.
