Some rooms at this 45-room boutique hotel face a neighboring wall, so the designers handed it to local artists, who turned the problem into the whole point. Each floor has a theme drawn from Lisbon itself: one dedicated to fado, one to poet Fernando Pessoa and lined with books. Rooms without the mural view get the Baixa rooftops or the Tagus instead. Cozy and specific without tipping into theme-park territory, which takes more restraint than it sounds.
