    A striped-tile pool anchors the courtyard of this quiet 12-room boutique hotel, tucked into a residential neighborhood south of Tulum's center, away from both the beachfront circus and the downtown bustle. The design runs modern boho-clean, about half the rooms have private plunge pools, and a small spa punches above its square footage. The ruins at the national park are practically next door, and the beaches are close enough to not feel like a compromise.
