    Everything at this town-center boutique hotel is painted black, walls, ceilings, and rooftop chaises longues included, which sets the mood before you've even unpacked. Polished concrete floors and modernist furniture leave thatched-roof kitsch to the beach resorts fifteen minutes away. The bar spills into the garden and tends toward live music or a DJ after dark. Breakfast is served; dinner is the neighborhood's problem, and the neighborhood is happy to help.
