A Victorian house on Midsummer Common, with the meadow visible from the dining room, sets a scene almost too picturesque to be taken seriously. Midsummer House takes it seriously anyway, running two Michelin stars out of this pretty setting with creative, constantly evolving tasting menus that lean into luxury ingredients without losing a sense of playfulness. The desserts, in particular, tend to be the talk of the table on the way home.
