    Local limestone, traditional tiles, and blonde wood fill this boutique hotel in Príncipe Real, the work of celebrated Portuguese firm Aires Mateus, whose minimalist instincts suit quiet-luxury travel embarrassingly well. Vegetarian brunch gathers guests around a large oak table each morning, afternoon tea happens by request in the reading room, and the better rooms open onto terraces with rooftop and Tagus views.
