The tiramisu ice cream is apparently non-negotiable, and regulars seem to have made their peace with that. This New American neighborhood restaurant in quiet Chevy Chase keeps things unfussy: ricotta dumplings, beef tartare, trout cooked the way trout should be. The room fills fast, the bar fills faster, and nobody seems to mind eating standing up. A set menu exists for the decisionally exhausted.
