Floor-to-ceiling windows on the new rooftop suites frame the Opera House close enough to feel slightly unfair to every other hotel in Sydney. This is a luxury hotel right on the harbour in the Rocks, practically under the Bridge, and it has the Michelin One Key and Forbes Four Star to show for a recent renovation that replaced a dated nineties interior with something considerably more composed. Butlers are plentiful, marble baths are standard, and the staff manage to be both professional and genuinely warm.
