PERILLA Fare
Korean
A mural of Michelle Obama in a hanbok greets you at the door, which sets the tone for a Korean steakhouse that doesn't take the expected route. The room is sleek but warm, with large windows onto Milwaukee Ave. and a semi-open kitchen. The menu reads like familiar Korean comfort food seen sideways, banchan on every table, kimchi stew, fire chicken, and Wagyu tartare brightened with Asian pear. The Michelin Guide awards it a Bib Gourmand.
