Oxblood leather banquettes, marble everywhere, and a cocktail trolley that arrives tableside bearing elaborate Martinis: Sammarco is Toronto's Italian steakhouse at full volume. The five Ontario dry-aged cuts are the backbone, sourced from Cumbrae's and treated simply, but the menu wanders into grilled sweetbreads and snow crab risotto for those who came for more than beef. The wine list runs long and expensive. Dress accordingly.
