Michael White's fine dining room in Midtown splits into several spaces that somehow still feel close and quiet, the kind of place where the lighting does a lot of work. The menu moves through the Italian south, from Amalfi coastline seafood to grilled secondi, with pasta doing most of the heavy lifting. Orecchiette with blue crab and sea urchin is the kind of dish that makes the rest of the menu feel like a warm-up act.
