    Tucked between Taksim Square and the Bosphorus, this boutique-leaning MGallery hotel wears its name honestly: public spaces are stacked with contemporary art and furniture that swings from Art Nouveau to now without apologizing for it. Rooms are calmer by comparison, with splashes of color and, in many cases, a window full of water. The rooftop restaurant's wraparound views take in most of Istanbul at once, which is a lot to process over breakfast.
