    A Soho pub downstairs, a serious fire-grill steakhouse upstairs, and somehow both halves feel exactly right. The Devonshire has landed on the World's Best Steak Restaurants list, and the beef earns it: in-house dry-ageing, open-ember cooking, the kind of care that shows. The room draws a confident, well-dressed crowd who ordered without much deliberation. Polished but never stiff, and very much worth the trip.
