    Floor-to-ceiling windows frame Lake Alster from some rooms, and a rooftop terrace opens up the Hamburg skyline beyond that. The George is a boutique hotel in St. Georg where dark wood, studded leather, and patterned wallpaper coexist without a fight. The bar runs dedicated gin and martini menus, the restaurant does Italian, and a small library handles afternoon tea for anyone who needs a quieter moment than the bar provides.
