    The building started as a 19th-century warehouse, back when warehouses still had something to prove architecturally. Inside this Baixa-Chiado boutique hotel, the bones of that old structure frame rooms that feel contemporary without trying too hard. Downstairs, an upscale Italian restaurant and two bars, one a crudo bar, one a classic cocktail spot, give the place more going on than most hotels of its size.
