    Two Victorian neoclassical houses face each other across a quiet street ten minutes from the city center, making up just 35 rooms in total. The owners are from Orkney and have leaned into it, giving the whole thing the unhurried feel of a Scottish country house without the draughts. Handmade Vispring beds, roll-top tubs in the suites, and a full restaurant by Scotland's National Chef round out a hotel that operates well above its modest footprint.
