A tonkatsu specialist backed by the tempura house Shunsaiten Tsuchiya, where the headline move is pork fried at lower temperatures than you'd expect, leaving the slices faintly pink and tender rather than steakhouse-brown. The mixed loin-and-fillet plate is what most people order. The Michelin Guide awards it a Bib Gourmand, and the room draws pilgrims from across Japan who take their breaded pork seriously, which in Osaka means everyone.
