    A hotel built into a landmark that has been, in sequence, a Royal Printing House, a Post Office, and a theatre, which means some rooms have inherited genuinely unusual bones. Universal Music Group runs the music angle without making it a theme park: a 900-seat theatre hosts live concerts and Broadway productions, and singers cycle through the restaurant regularly. The rooftop, with its views to the Sierra Oeste mountains, is the most convincing argument for staying rather than just visiting.
