The 73rd-floor open-air pool deck, hovering above Victoria Harbour, sets the tone for what W Hong Kong is doing with this place. It's a high-design luxury hotel in West Kowloon where subtlety never got through the door, and the enchanted-forest lobby, with its 130-foot twig column and glass bubble elevators, makes the point immediately. Rooms are plush and wired, the service matches the setting, and Forbes gave it four stars.
