Kirchberg in Tirol has exactly one place on the list so far: Maierl-Alm & Chalets, honored by the Michelin Guide.
-
Halfway up the mountain from Kirchberg, this classic Alpine lodge and chalet property sits in the middle of the Kitzbühel ski area, which means you can be on the slopes before most people have found their ski boots. Traditional Tyrolean style runs through the inn rooms and the larger chalets, which sleep up to eight. The wellness center with its pool, sauna, and Turkish bath earns its keep in both ski season and the surprisingly lovely Tyrolean summer.
