The Best Hotels in Lusail

The door staff alone make an entrance: swooping capes, wide-brimmed hats, the full theatrical commitment. This Forbes Five Star hotel occupies twin latticed towers on the edge of Lusail, right on the marina, and leans hard into Qatari culture through art sourced from local museums. Rooms, serviced apartments, and residences fill the complex, alongside a tea lounge and a run of restaurants and bars that take their names from old Shanghai society.

The chandelier in the lobby of this Lusail luxury hotel is said to be the tallest in the world, weighing over half a ton, which sets the tone nicely for what follows. Rooms styled after mega yachts come with wraparound balconies for watching Doha's sunsets, velvet headboards, and enough gold accents to keep things interesting. Four restaurants, a vast spa, and a pool round out the kind of stay where you never quite need to leave.

The lobby alone earns a long pause: white marble and blue accents pulled from the desert and gulf waters, designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon. This Forbes Four Star resort on Lusail's waterfront runs the full family-luxury spectrum, with the district's only private beach, a waterpark, a kids' club, and seven places to eat and drink. Families who planned a beach day and ended up staying for dinner have no one to blame but the setup.
