The best places to drink and stay in Key Biscayne, according to the experts: Forbes Travel Guide, Michelin Guide, and Miami New Times have all weighed in, and their honors are what rank this list. The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne comes out on top.
-
One causeway separates Key Biscayne from downtown Miami, but the island reads more like the Caribbean than South Florida. This Forbes Four Star resort spreads across oceanfront acres with a vast spa, twin pools, and an eleven-court tennis complex that signals how seriously guests take their leisure. Rooms run to colonial-inflected pastels and breezy fabrics, and the dining options cover everything from coastal American to a beachfront Mexican spot.

Rank 2. Gramps Getaway
Tropical Cocktail Bar
Gramps Getaway is a waterfront cocktail bar under the big palapa that used to house Whiskey Joe's, with creaky floorboards that still hold decades of beach sand. Seventies rock plays, the frozen drinks are stronger than they let on, and the Brickell skyline sits across the water. The menu runs from wings to a fried chicken sandwich, and prices stay modest. Eater lists it among Miami's essential cocktail bars.
