A two-person sushiya with a handful of seats and hours that seem designed to keep you guessing, Akaoni runs on a daily specials board and a tank of live spot prawns behind the counter. The nigiri is clean and precisely cut, the kind of work that doesn't need a long menu to make its case. Prices are low enough to make you briefly suspicious, then just grateful.
