A prix fixe Italian restaurant in Nara where the kitchen works through all twenty of Italy's regions, course by course, north to south and back again. The pasta is made in-house, many ingredients are imported from Italy, and the wine list follows the same regional logic, pairing bottles from native cultivars with the food from the same area. For a city with this many temples, finding a room this devoted to Italian tradition feels almost poetic.
