A rough-hewn wooden façade drops into the sixth arrondissement like a Canadian trapper's hut that took a wrong turn at the Seine. Inside, this cocktail bar goes cozy and narrow, all dark wood and deep green velvet, with vintage American music doing the heavy lifting on weekdays. Come the weekend, a DJ takes over downstairs, and the mood shifts accordingly. Cocktail bars on the Left Bank are scarce enough that this one doesn't need to try very hard to stand out, yet it does anyway.
