    The pencil bins at reception are intentionally comical, and the back-to-school conceit runs throughout this boutique hotel in Vieux Lyon. Public spaces lean into worn wood and leather; rooms flip the script with a clean, monochrome minimalism that only loosely evokes student housing. A garden terrace, co-working nooks, and a South American-inflected tapas bar give it a social life the curriculum never offered.
