    The building is a former post office cut from Brač stone, joined to a pink Italianate mansion next door, two minutes from the Golden Gate of Diocletian's Palace. This full-service hotel runs year-round, drawing tourists and business travelers in roughly equal measure. Rooms come with wooden floors and stone-tiled bathrooms, the restaurants lean Dalmatian, and the rooftop whirlpool tubs look out over enough terracotta to make checkout feel genuinely cruel.
