    The name stands for "Design, Development, and Destination," which tells you exactly how seriously this place takes itself, in a good way. A luxury hotel tucked inside a plain brick tower in Nihonbashi, it runs on contemporary minimalism, with an in-house art gallery showing rotating works when you need something stronger than the minibar. Nol, the restaurant, does modern French. The Michelin Guide has it among its selected hotels.
