A Mexican restaurant lively enough that it had to move to bigger digs, El Gato Negro holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand and the kind of crowd that orders rounds of traditional margaritas before anyone's looked at the menu. The format is casual and communal, built for sharing plates across a colourful room, and a terrace now too. The quesabirria with braised lamb is the thing people talk about, and apparently no one leaves without the churros.
