    Thatched roofs, handmade details, and only eight rooms keep this small jungle resort feeling like a discovery rather than a development. Rustic is the look, but the beds are plush, the floors are hardwood, and the wraparound decks catch a breeze that mostly does the job of the AC. Two restaurants for a property this size is a mild overachiever move, covering everything from morning juice to a dinner menu built around local Mexican ingredients.
