A sailboat-shaped skyscraper in the historic Dojima neighborhood, this luxury hotel's biggest design trick is what happens inside. The entire 28th floor is built as a modern ryokan, with tatami floors, futon-style platform beds, and washi-paper walls. Rooms on other floors stay sleek and neutral but keep the square soaking tubs and picture windows. The 36th-floor spa adds ofuru baths and an indoor pool. The Michelin Guide awarded it one Key.
