    A timber-beamed village pub in Bray where the menu runs to potted shrimp and historical British dishes that feel like they've been researched as much as cooked. This is Heston Blumenthal's more relaxed room, which still means a Michelin star and the kind of precision that makes a bread pudding feel like an event. The crowd comes in from London expecting casual and finds the food is anything but.
