Roux at Skindles

Alain Roux, whose Waterside Inn up the road has held three Michelin stars for decades, runs this contemporary French brasserie right on the Thames at Taplow. The menu runs to classic bistro territory with European touches, and a fruits de mer platter sometimes appears on the blackboard as if to remind you the river is right there. Arrive early enough to take a drink on the terrace before the tables fill.
