    Perched on the Thames in the village of Bray, this riverside hotel and restaurant from the Roux family has been a fixture of the French-in-England fantasy for decades. Rooms are tucked into an old farmhouse and scattered cottages around the grounds, giving the whole thing a quiet, country-house feel rather than a hotel feel. Forbes Four Star. Bring someone you'd like to impress, or just yourself, which is arguably more romantic.
