    Behind a neoclassical Rotterdam facade, Hotel Âme runs on Japanese-Scandinavian minimalism, the kind where silence feels designed into the walls. Fourteen rooms vary in size but share the same unhurried calm, and the downstairs café pours Shokunin coffee from ceramics the co-founder threw herself. It is a small, quiet hotel that seems genuinely unbothered by the century outside its front door.
