    The terraced garden, tucked behind a modest Via del Babuino façade, is where the hotel makes its case. This is a Forbes Five Star Rocco Forte property in Rome's historic center, and it runs on the kind of quiet discretion that old-money travelers still seek out and new money has learned to imitate. The rooms are contemporary without trying too hard, the staff are composed, and the city feels surprisingly far away once you're inside.
