    A heated whirlpool staring straight at the Matterhorn sets the tone for this boutique ski hotel in Zermatt: the mountain doesn't blink, but you might. Bare wood and organic textures keep things Alpine without veering into cuckoo-clock territory, and the vibe skews young and casual rather than hushed and formal. The Sunnegga Railway is a two-minute walk away, and the bistro downstairs runs one of the livelier après-ski scenes in town.
