Sukiyaki Japanese
A sukiyaki house that's been around forever, descended from the butcher shop next door, which means the wagyu selection is taken with a seriousness that borders on devotion. You sit on tatami while a single hostess does the cooking, tableside, every pot. The meal closes with ojiya, a soft egg-enriched rice gruel that absorbs whatever the pan left behind. Old Tokyo in the most literal sense of the room.
