A lobster tank in the corner, sea-themed wallpaper, and royal portraits watching over the room: this old-school seafood restaurant on Gammel Strand has been around forever, occupying the site of Copenhagen's original fish market. Bouillabaisse, turbot on the bone, and a wine list heavy on champagne and burgundies keep the menu suitably serious. The granite bar counter facing the open kitchen makes it comfortable for solo diners too.
