Thai restaurant in Chinatown where the menu runs shorter than the wine list, which tells you something about the kitchen's confidence. The room is handsome, all dark wood and woven vinyl under big arched windows, and the food moves between homey and precise without announcing it. Gang rawaeng, a turmeric curry with slow-braised beef, and the northern kao soi both earn their place on a menu that doesn't have room for passengers. Selected by the Michelin Guide.
