This is a family-run bistro on Boulevard Raspail that quietly leads a double life: ordinary bistro fare most days, then couscous on Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with refills of semolina until you wave a white flag. There are no reservations and nobody gets seated until the whole party shows up, so latecomers are on their own. Lines form early, and they come for the lamb shank, not the croque-monsieur.

Couscous
“This discreet, family-owned bistro attracts lines out the door thanks to the couscous, a contender for the city’s best, served only on Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.”
The Infatuation -
Herb-scented meatballs
“Choose the ethereally light herb-scented meatballs or the massive lamb shank you could easily eat with a spoon, both of which come with a nicely spiced but not greasy merguez and a char-grilled pepper that’ll please heat devotees.”
