    You check in by pushing a bookcase in a cocktail bar on Place de la Bastille until a secret door swings open, then climb a spiral staircase past where the elevator would be. The rooms themselves are compact and minimalist, with blonde wood floors and floor-to-ceiling windows over the square below. Bohemian-chic is the mode, the price point is gentle, and the 11th arrondissement takes care of everything else.
